Daria Morgendorffer Age 16 Older sister of Quinn, daughter of Helen and Jake Daria is the proverbial smart kid who hates school. She likes to write and to watch the TV show "Sick Sad World". She hates malls, school, makeup (for the most part), popular kids, and pretty much everything else. Daria has an unrequited crush on Trent Lane, Jane's brother. It's not really known, though, whether Trent's feelings towards Daria are the same. Get the lyrics to Daria and Trent's song- at least, a song that would be appropriate to be their song. Visit Daria's homepage. And bring your hoes. Motto: Smart is not a four-letter word. That would be smar. Daria had her beginnings on MTV's Beavis and Butthead as their only female friend, created by Glenn Eichler when Mike Judge realized there was no female characters on the show. She was the one referred to as "Diarrhea, cha cha cha." In Highland, Daria was much more active in school- she was involved in the Gay and Lesbian support group and the school newspaper (ironically, she was the fashion reporter.) Daria was also in the episode when B&B decided to become female mud wrestlers, and in the Career Day episode. She was at the Publishing Booth. "For people who like to read." Even as small children, Daria and Quinn never got along. The name Daria is Persian/Spanish and means "queenly" and "rich, preserver." Quotes: "Forget it. I don't like kids. I didn't even like them when I was one." (Pinch Sitter) Jane: You're a real Joan of Arc, you know. Jake: "See that stream? That's our water. See those berries? That's
our breakfast." Quinn: "But we're like a built-in support group for each other." Daria's voice is provided by Tracy Grandstaff, who also did the voices for a couple of other minor characters in Beavis and Butthead, such as Lolita and Tanqueray (the trailer park sluts). Her voice is featured on the Beavis and Butthead TV show and in "Beavis and Butthead Do America." |
