Jane Lane

Age 16

Daughter of Amanda Lane and Mr. Lane.Younger sister of Penny, Wind, Summer, and Trent (first three are in the show in spirit only.) Her family is the black sheep of the Lane clan. Summer has three kids, two of which are named Adrian and Courtney- Jane's niece and nephew.

Jane is Daria's first and only good friend in Lawndale. She too is a fan of "Sick Sad World" and most other TV and she loves all kinds of art- painting, drawing, sculpture, and the like. Jane also likes running. Like Daria, Jane hates pretty much everything else. Jane seems to be friends with Jodie when it's convenient. (ref. The Big House) Jane is much more forward with guys she finds attractive- she wants it, she gets it. (The Invitation with Bobby Bighead, Road Worrier with Jesse Moreno) Apparently, she's not against skinnydipping either. Jane lives with Trent and occasionally her parents at 111 Howard Drive in Lawndale. Her mother is a pottery aficionado who listens to rap music while she's throwing pots.
