Computer Literacy 713
Ms. Sherilyne Dyne, instructor
Welcome to the Computer Literacy 713 Homepage on the World Wide Web!
Computer literacy is an unendingly important skill that is vital to students in the job world. More and more companies are being converted to computer systems, and it is crucial that students learn these real-world skills. With money allocated from the "Save the Sloth" fund, we were able to wire our computer labs to the Internet, and promptly weaved Internet design skills into this course. For their final exam, students were required to build a homepage utilizing all areas of Internet design skill. This class is a graduation requirement taken during sophomore year.

Requirements for Student Homepages
1) Students must include some brief autobiographical information. Besides your name, feel free to include your friends, family, clubs, future plans, class schedule, and any other interesting information. I suggest you not include your phone number, your address, or anyone else's phone number or address. Remember, these can be viewed by anyone!
2) Students must use 2-3 graphics. A personal picture is required. Other pictures may include bars, buttons, pictures of friends, etc. NO OBSCENE , PORNOGRAPHIC, OR INAPPROPRIATE PICTURES. This will result in failure of the Final Exam.
3) Students must include at least 5 "links" to other sites on the Internet. This demonstrates the proficiency to find what is needed on the Internet. The links must work to receive credit. Links to friends' pages do not count, although they are encouraged. NO OBSCENE , PORNOGRAPHIC, OR INAPPROPRIATE LINKS. This will result in failure of the Final Exam.
4) Students must demonstrate skills in use of color, basic layout, and technical proficiency. Although you will not be graded off for incorrect spelling, it creates a poor impression.
